Arguably one of Australia’s most celebrated portrait photographers, Gary Heery has been an ongoing collaborator and friend of Moffitt.Moffitt. Establishing his career with Rolling Stone Magazine in the mid 1960’s Gary is renowned for shooting some of the most famous and infamous names in music, film and politics.
To celebrate a lifetime of work Gary Heery commissioned Moffitt.Moffitt. to design and curate his career retrospective. Spanning four decades, the book documents Gary's iconic celebrity portratiure, flora and fauna collections, fine art projects and commercial work. With no chronological order, each page contrasts the similarities and differences between Gary's approach and the unique moments he has captured. Including a foreword by Edmund Capon, the book features over 300 pages of images and a scrap book of Gary's private journals and candid behind the scenes moments.
The large format book comes with a unique limited edition shipping box, canvas bound solander box, prints sleeve and hard cover book all signed and numbered individually. You can purchase the Global Edition at the Moffitt.Moffitt. Store.
Prior to the release of Gary Heery's retrospective, Moffitt.Moffitt. created Non Fiction – a smaller selection of stories from his commercial and personal work. From his days at Rolling Stone magazine to his experiences with animals in his award winning book: Zoo, Gary's tales are as remarkable as the images he captures.
