After the success of the Sydney 2000 Olympics, Australians have built a global reputation as leaders in the major sporting events industry. To celebrate this legacy the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) invited future host nations of the world's premier sporting events to connect with Australian experts at a unique event during the London 2012 Olympics. Moffitt.Moffitt. were appointed by events agency Rizer as Creative Directors to unify all event touchpoints under one consistent and inspirational vision.
Inspired by the draping of national flags over winning athletes – Moffitt.Moffitt. created an evocative and adaptable event identity that was applied to a diverse range of items including signage, environmental graphics, touch screen displays, invitations, posters, menus and lanyards.
The centrepiece of the evening was the launch of 'Track Record' – a digital Global Services Directory App for tablet devices. The directory profiled over 75 Australian experts in the fields of bidding, planning, event staging services, venue design and construction. Available on the iTunes App Store and Google Play the app featured direct access to company profiles, case studies, interviews, image galleries, interactive content and an introductory film directed by Moffitt.Moffitt..
An integral part of the post-event campaign included the publication of a 240 page multilingual extension of the digital global services directory. With additional content and information the publication was distributed to international delegates worldwide.
